Warner Bros to broadcast blockchain quiz during ‘Inside the NBA’ on TNT

U.S. television network TNT will air a ‘watch-to-earn’ quiz during ‘Inside the NBA’ during the next live show on Feb. 3 at 4 am UTC powered by ImmutableX, the gaming-focused Ethereum layer-2 chain.

The online trivia game, ‘B/R W2E,’ from Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, will become a weekly feature during the Emmy Award-winning basketball show.

“[B/R W2E] allows viewers to collect digital tokens to redeem free memorabilia and collectibles, giving them the opportunity to extend their fandom, and to enjoy their favorite show whilst being engaged in a new and exciting way.

To start playing, fans simply scan the QR code on their screen to launch a trivia game on their phone.”

The watch-to-earn game is powered by ImmutableX, which “has partnered with Warner Brothers Discovery Sports for all current web 3 projects.”

‘Inside the NBA’ first aired in 1989 on TNT and stars NBA legends Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal. It is the fourth most popular show on TNT, with an average weekly live audience of 439,000 viewers. The NBA audience has previously had exposure to blockchain products through the popular NBA TopShot series of digital collectibles.

The new trivia game looks to bring further awareness to NBA fans who can earn digital collectible NFTs by watching basketball coverage.
