Joe Biden Goes Crypto? Laser Eyes Meme Triggers Massive Speculation

Current United States President Joe Biden has unintentionally sparked controversy in the crypto community after posting what many interpreted as a unique Bitcoin meme. The surprising post has fueled speculation that the American President may have a change of heart concerning digital assets.

US President Posts Bitcoin Laser Eyes Meme

On Monday, January 12, Biden posted a picture of himself with laser eyes with the caption, “Just as we drew it up.” Given the distinctive meaning of laser eyes, the post garnered considerable attention from the crypto community and the general public.

Typically, the laser eyes symbol signals a bullish outlook for Bitcoin. It is a sign created and often used by Bitcoin community members to indicate their positive outlook on the digital asset.

Due to the profound significance behind the meme, Biden’s post shocked many crypto enthusiasts, sparking speculations about a potential pivot into cryptocurrencies, as pointed out by Fox reporter Eleanor Terrett.

Since his inauguration into the US presidential seat, Biden has refrained from endorsing policies supporting Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. However, the US president has signed an executive order regarding the government’s oversight of digital assets.

Previously, former US Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis raised concerns, accusing the Biden administration of harboring intentions to undermine Bitcoin.

These disclosures underscore a clear contrast in speculations regarding Biden’s potential shift in perspectives concerning digital assets prompted by the ‘Laser Eyes’ picture.

Unveiling The Real Reason Behind The ‘Laser Eyes’ Meme

While Biden’s post sparked speculation about a possible foray into crypto, reports indicate that the post was created to commemorate the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent victory in the 2024 Super Bowl.

On Monday, the Chiefs clinched a 25-22 overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers, securing the win in Super Bowl LVIII.

Before the Super Bowl game, Biden shared insights on the anticipated winner in the Super Bowl via his official TikTok account, BidenHQ. When asked if he was “deviously plotting to rig the season so the Chiefs would make the Super Bowl?” Biden jokingly responded, “I’d get in trouble if I told you.”

Following the Chiefs’ triumphant victory, the US President posted the Laser Eyes meme, seemingly referencing the earlier banter about a rigging conspiracy theory.
